These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of this platform and the Insurance activity between you and us.
1.2
By using this platform, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not wish to be bound by these Terms and Conditions you should not use this platform and/or continue this Insurance activity.
1.3
We suggest that you print a copy of these Terms and Conditions and keep them in a safe place for future reference.
1.4
You must only use this platform for your personal use only and not for business or commercial purposes.
2.1
"you" and "your" means the person who proposes to use or is using this platform, the person who applies to acquire insurance coverage through this platform, and which if that person decides to purchase insurance through our platform, will become a policyholder, insured and a customer/client of ours.
2.2
"we" "us" and "our" means Servcorp Corporate services which is authorised and regulated by Dubai Economy Development of the United Arab Emirates for insurance broking activity, under licence and trade licence [909796]. Registered Address: Office S11 Building P24 France cluster International City Duba.
We will be your Insurance Broker and you authorise us to act on your behalf for your insurance needs, which includes communicating with the insurer(s) as applicable.
2.3
"platform" means either the site on the world wide web located at www.veeels.com or any mobile application that we provide using the internet. Which will perform Electronic Insurance Operations, using Electronic Information and will record an Electronic Copy.
2.3.1
Electronic Insurance Operations: any business carried out by us through electronic and smart systems, including but not limited to: insurance coverage offers, insurance premium offers, selling of insurance policies, marketing of insurance policies, collection of premiums, insurance policy amendment, policy cancellation (if applicable), receipt of claims, receipt and handling of complaints.
2.3.2
Electronic Copy: being a record or document that is created, stored, generated, copied, sent, communicated, or received by electronic means, on a tangible medium or any other Electronic medium and is retrievable in perceivable form.
2.3.3
Electronic Information: is data and information in the form of text, codes, sounds, graphics, images, or otherwise.
2.4
"insurer" means the provider of an insurance product made available via this platform, a collective number of selected insurers incorporated and licensed to practice insurance activities in the United Arab Emirates, for which make up our approved panel. The Insurer is the party who is the insurance company, underwrites, manages and bear the insurance risk, and will be named on the comparison screen and in the associated policy documents related to you.
2.5
"quote" means a price provided by an insurer for comparison with other quotes on the basis of the information you have provided. We do not control the price; we do not assure the validity of any quotation and we reserve the right to cancel any quotation at any time with no reason given.
2.6
“UAE” means the United Arab Emirates.
3.1
We provide the following services:
3.1.1
insurance premium price comparisons which enable you to compare offers for a number of insurance products, as well as product information from the insurers on our panel, and for you to make an informed decision based on those comparisons; there is no charge to you for this service and
3.1.2
insurance brokerage services which entails arranging insurance cover on behalf of you and acting as an intermediary in the contract negotiations between the insurer and you.
We do not provide financial or other advice in relation to the products or services compared, nor do we provide a recommendation or endorsement, when it comes to our insurers, we do not recommend, we offer an impartial and independent comparison.
3.1.3
we facilitate without any undue delay the provision of the full insurance policy documentation from the insurer to you, which shall be a dated electronic insurance policy and the issued electronic version (PDF and/or email) shall include all the contents of the policy, including the insurance application, policy terms, limits of coverage and any annexes.
3.1.4
deal with you in accordance with the principles of good faith, transparency, professional rules and ethics.
3.1.5
we seek insurance from Insurers who we have an established relationship with. We cannot and do not guarantee the solvency or continuing solvency of an Insurer used and do not accept liability for any losses arising in this regard.
3.1.6
we also offer cross selling or offers from third parties.
4.1
By using this platform you agree that:
4.1.1
you will not do anything that affects the integrity or security of this platform or causes or may cause harm, damage or unreasonable inconvenience to other users of this platform, us or the platform;
4.1.2
you will not gather, extract, download, reproduce and/or display or advertise on any other platform, other online or off-line service or otherwise, any material on or from this platform.
4.2
If you breach any of the provisions set out at 4.1 above, we may take such action as we deem appropriate, including denying you access to this platform, bringing legal proceedings against you and disclosing such information to appropriate legal bodies. In the event that any untrue or inaccurate information or information not current or complete has formed the basis of any Transactions, the said Transactions shall be either voidable at the option of the Insurance Company, or wherever applicable or necessary void ab initio.
4.3
You will maintain your profile of your insurance contract through the platform, which will permit you to set your marketing preferences, general contact preferences, updating your contact information, make amendments to your policy, view/download information relating to your policy (status, commencement date/expiry, insurance premium, paid premium status, insurance policy number, renewal information) and associated documents such as policy schedule and policy wording.
4.4
You agree to pay due regard to, and co-operate in respect of the observance of, any applicable financial crime (including, but not limited to, anti-money laundering, countering financing terrorism, fraud) and international economic financial or trade sanctions laws and regulations which bind you, us and the Insurer.
4.5
Veeels Insurance Brokers /or the Insurer, at their sole discretion, do not guarantee or warrant to quote or issue a policy to you for any reason with no justifications.
5.1
It is your responsibility to ensure that all information that you supply to us or enter onto this platform or that is supplied by us for you to review is complete and accurate.
5.2
You will need to answer a number of questions in order to obtain a quote for any product. These questions are designed to ensure that we and all insurers have all of the information necessary to provide you with accurate, appropriate and timely information relating to the products and/or services in which you are interested. Where possible, we will help you complete quotes quickly by pre-populating some of our on-line forms with information we already know about you (or your vehicle) or obtain from insurers or relevant sources, by agreeing to these Terms & Conditions you provide consent for this activity.
5.2.1
Where we do this you must check that the information in the form is accurate and up to date. Whilst we strive to provide as comprehensive and easy to use a service as possible, the requirements for your quote may not be met if such requirements are unusual, "non-standard" or "high risk" and may require a referral to our customer service team.
5.2.2
Each product and service provider will have a different approach to the provision of their quotes and may not make quotes available for all of their products. Where you have expressed an interest in a product restricted by insurers, we or the insurers may contact you to assist further.
5.3
In the case of all insurance the level of cover and the amount you pay is determined by the answers you provide to those questions and therefore you should answer all questions truthfully and fully and to the best of your knowledge and belief (being essential and fundamental information). In all cases if you fail to provide complete and accurate information:
5.3.1
any insurance product purchased may be void (meaning you will not be able to make a claim and/or any payment may not be returned to you);
5.3.2
you may have to pay additional premiums under your policy to reflect any increased insurance risk as a result; and/or
5.3.3
you may be liable for damage or loss to a third party if you cause an accident. This will depend on the terms and conditions you have agreed with your insurer.
5.3.4
If you misrepresent your previous claims history; insurance companies reserve the right to charge an additional premium, avoid payment for damage to your vehicle or downgrade the repair conditions stated in the policy.
5.3.5
Providing wrongful, false, misleading, or unclear photos of your vehicle at any time when required, may result in the cancellation of your policy. Any claims related to your vehicle may also be rejected.
5.4
You give us the right to use your information including sending it to insurers, other intermediaries, auditors, regulators and other third parties involved directly or indirectly in your insurance cover.
5.5
You agree that during the term of the insurance policy you will provide us or the insurer with any changes to the information you have provided without undue delay, as any future changes may affect the insurance cover.
5.6
You agree to ensure that during the term of the insurance policy we have up to date contact details for you, including telephone number and email address. A failure to do this may result in us being unable to send you important communications about your policy.
6.1
This platform is directed only at UAE residents and nothing within it or these Terms and Conditions constitutes an offer or promotion of services or products to persons who are not UAE residents or in respect of vehicles located outside the UAE.
We do not make any warranty or representation that the services we offer are available or appropriate for use by those outside the UAE.
7.1
These Terms and Conditions and our correspondence with you will be communicated in the Arabic and English languages.
8.1
You should always read the insurer's terms and conditions in full, which will cover any transaction or agreement between you and the insurer.
8.2
Your insurance policy may contain a number of warranties and conditions. These are important terms. You must comply with them in full; if you do not, your insurer may not pay a claim and may cancel your policy from the start. You will find full details in your policy schedule and policy wording.
9.1
You can pay your insurance premiums through our online payment gateway only.
9.1.1
In the event of the Insurer not issuing the policy and You paid the policy premium through online payment gateway, We will refund that amount paid (policy premium) to the same card used for this payment within twenty four (24) hours.
9.2
You must pay your insurance premiums by the due date. A failure to pay an insurance premium by the due date can result in the loss of insurance coverage which will mean that you are no longer insured under the policy.
9.3
The Insurer shall not provide cover and shall not be liable to pay any claim or provide any benefit to the extent that the provision of such cover under your policy, payment of such claim or provision of such benefit would expose the Insurer to any sanction, prohibition or restriction under United Nations resolutions or the trade or economic sanctions, laws or regulations of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
9.4
You must take special care and attention if you receive any request through email or other non-secure methods to make additional payment and verify the source prior to any payment.
9.5
If the policy is purchased through our online payment gateway resulted in error through your payment method, we are unable to issue a refund through our standard procedure.
9.6
The payment of premium does not warrant the customer (client) issuance of the underlying insurance policy.
10.1
If you wish to amend or cancel your insurance policy, please refer to the post sales section of our website for details of how to do this and/or your policy wording documentation.
10.2
The amendment or cancellation will be subject to the terms of your insurance policy.
10.3
In the event that your insurance policy is canceled you may be eligible for a refund according to the motor unified policy, in addition to the policy terms and conditions determined by your insurer. Noting that any refund due may also have a cancellation fee applied.
10.4
We will inform you by available and appropriate means before the expiry date of the insurance policy that purchased through the Platform so that you can expresses your desire on how you want to proceed with your renewal.
10.5
During the policy cancellation process, your insurer may request additional documentation from you to support your cancellation request. If this is the case, then we will contact you and request copies of these supporting documents. Any delays in sharing these documents will delay the process of your cancellation.
11.1
Any links or pointers to any web site outside of our official web site and Portal are designated as “third-party sites” and the links and pointers are provided only for convenience. We do not endorse the contents of such third-party sites referenced on the Portal nor we do take any responsibility for any content at such third-party sites. We expressly disclaim any and every responsibility and liability for any consequence arising out of actions based on reliance placed on the contents of such third-party sites.
11.2
Links are provided for convenience only and inclusion of any links should not be taken to imply endorsement in any way of the site to which it links.
12.1
We are responsible for ensuring that we accurately reflect product quotes via our price comparison technology. We are also responsible for statements of fact made to you by us and protecting your data in accordance with data protection legislation.
12.2
We will use reasonable endeavours to provide you with a quality service and virus free platform. However, we are not responsible for computer viruses or other computer related problems you suffer as a result of using this platform, which are beyond our reasonable control. We recommend that you use your own appropriate virus checking software.
12.3
We are not responsible for any commentary, opinions, ratings or other postings on this platform by third parties.
12.4
Insurers and third-party websites are responsible for failings or errors on their websites.
13.1
From time to time we may update the platform. You should always use the latest version of the platform to help ensure your account remains secure.
13.2
We may from time to time need to prevent you from using the platform or accessing your account via the platform if you are not using the latest version of the platform or if suspicious activity is done to and/or by your account.
13.3
You must not share your password or PIN or One Time Password (OTP) with any third party.
13.4
You must not install or use the platform on a jail-broken or rooted device.
13.5
We reserve the right to update or suspend the platform at any given time for a maintenance activity or any other reason without notice to You or any liability on Us
14.1
All information, data and copyright material contained on this platform, including any trademarks (whether officially registered or unregistered), brands, logos and devices belong to us or to people to whom we have given ownership or permission to use such information data and/or copyright material. You must not use such information or copyright material unless you have written permission from us or the owner to do so.
14.2
You may download or copy the content and other downloadable items displayed on this platform for personal use provided that you are not otherwise breaching these Terms and Conditions.
15.1
We treat all information about you as private and confidential and we will always work to ensure that your personal data is processed in compliance with the relevant privacy and data protection laws. We will retain your information inline with our legal obligations.
15.2
We will need to use and disclose the information we have about you in order to analyse and find the best match products for you, obtain insurance quotations and in the course of arranging, placing or administering insurance cover for you. This may involve passing information about you on to insurer(s), other intermediaries, auditors, relevant bodies and other third parties involved directly or indirectly in your insurance cover. You consent to the use and disclosure of the information that we have about you for these purposes.
15.3
We will based on your preferences set in your online profile provide to you information relating to services and products that maybe of interest to you.
16.1
You must notify us or your insurer as soon as possible of any loss, claim or circumstance which falls within the notification provisions of your insurance policy. If you notify us, we will assist you with the notifying the insurer. Failure to notify promptly may entitle the insurer to reject your claim. You should not admit liability or agree to any course of action, other than emergency measures carried out to minimise the loss, or in the interests of health and safety, until you have obtained agreement from your insurer. You shall comply with the policy terms & conditions of claim matter.
16.2

16.3
In the event that an insurer delay making settlement of a claim for any reason, we do not accept liability to pay such amounts, until and unless the insurer has paid the claim to us in cleared funds.
17.1
Our liability to you for the services we provide shall be limited to the extent of the UAE courts and regulatory requirements.
18.1
We may issue a warning, temporarily suspend, permanently suspend or terminate your right to use this platform if you:
18.1.1
substantially breach any of these Terms and conditions;
18.1.2
infringe or violate or attempt to infringe or violate any rights of any other user(s) of this platform and/or third parties in connection with this platform; or
18.1.3
if you are using this website to commit or attempt to commit a criminal offence.
19.1
We aim to provide a high standard of service to all our customers. Unfortunately, occasionally things do go wrong. When this happens, we make every effort to settle complaints quickly and fairly.
If you have a complaint, you can raise your complaint as follows:
19.1.1
Complaints about Products and Services purchased through our web site
If your complaint is about a product or service that you have purchased via this platform, then you can complain directly to the relevant insurers responsible for supplying the product or service. We cannot answer complaints on behalf of a insurer(s) or accept responsibility for any such complaints, however, as you intermediary we can assist you in getting in contact with the relevant party as needed, so please do contact us.

Always include your name, postal address, and email address. Please also include your quote reference or policy number and telephone number and why you are unhappy in as much detail as you can. This will help us to respond to you quickly. If we do not have enough information to investigate your complaint, we will try and contact you to ask for further details.
19.2
Complaint Process
If we resolve your complaint by close of business on the third (3) business day following the day on which it is received, we will send you a written summary of the resolution. This will confirm that your complaint has been resolved and remind you of your additional rights to take your complaint to the Customer Happiness Department should you subsequently feel dissatisfied with the outcome.
If we are unable to resolve your complaint by close of business on the third (3) business day following the day on which it is received: we will send a written acknowledgment of your complaint to you within five (5) business days of its receipt and provide the next steps in the process as applicable to your individual circumstances, we aim to resolve all complaints within nine (9) business days from receiving the complaint.
You do have additional rights to take your complaint to the Customer Happiness Department should you subsequently feel dissatisfied with the outcome.
20.1
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions are held by a competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions will not be affected and will remain valid.
20.2
In the event of a dispute in connection with or arising out of these Terms and Conditions, the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Dubai will apply.
20.3
These Terms and Conditions will only apply as between us and you. Unless as otherwise stated in these Terms and Conditions no other person may benefit or rely upon these Terms and Conditions.
20.4
We may not reassign your insurance contract or associated insurance related tasks to another insurance broker without your written consent and the consent of the insurer and regulator as applicable.
21.1
If you are, or you are your connected to any, Political Exposed Person (PEP) you must email us by contacting support@veeels.com
Definition of a PEP is: Natural persons who are or have been entrusted with prominent public functions in the State or any other foreign country such as Heads of States or Governments, senior politicians, senior government officials, judicial or military officials, senior executive managers of state-owned corporations, and senior officials of political parties and persons who are, or have previously been, entrusted with the management of an international organisation or any prominent function within such an organisation.
22.1
Neither Party shall be liable for any delay or non-performance of its obligations under this Agreement caused by an event beyond its control (a “Force Majeure Event”).
